The benefits of a living wall (also known as a green wall or a vertical garden) are numerous.  The most obvious one is that it looks amazing!  But as well as improving your indoor or outdoor space aesthetically, it provides practical benefits.  The vertical layer of planting acts as insulation for the wall, keeping the building warm in winter and cool in summer.  In an urban setting, the added greenery contributes to better air quality and reduces airborne pollutants.  It also absorbs sound, reducing noise from traffic etc.  Importantly, in an interior setting, the large area of living plants promotes a sense of well-being akin to being outside in nature.  In the office, this improves staff morale and can translate into increased productivity.
